Kingsford The Barossa

Welcome

Built in 1856, Kingsford The Barossa is picturesque venue that has been lovingly restored to become one of Australia’s finest luxury retreats – a gem nestled amongst riverbanks and rolling hills, surrounded by beautiful gum trees and the native Australian landscape.

Tucked away and only 45 minutes from the bustling city centre, the iconic 225-acre property is set on the edge of the breathtaking wine country of South Australia. Once home to a wealthy nineteenth-century pastoralist, nothing rivals exclusive access to the 13-suite retreat which can host 32 people.

The property has recently re-opened after a two year, multi-million dollar redevelopment.

Easy to Find

Easy to Find

Kingsford is a short 45-minute drive north of Adelaide, situated on the North Para River on the Western Ridge, nestled amongst the hills of the Barossa Valley wine region.

Surrounded by 225-acres of South Australian countryside, productivity will be at its peak as you feel a million miles away from city living while only being a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the CBD.

Adelaide International Airport is served by overseas and domestic carriers. Kingsford is an easy drive from the airport via the Northern Expressway. The property has a helipad and is close to a number of small airfields (including Gawler).

The homestead is now complemented by an impressive new lodge, designed to give guests a taste of the best the Barossa can offer, such as fine wine, artisan-grown produce and good times shared.

Modern, luxurious and overflowing with timeless character, the new expansion includes four new east-facing View Suites that ensure guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of rolling hills through floor-to-ceiling glass, with access to private courtyards. Another addition is the new expansive Conservatory, which is the perfect location for hosting special events at any time of day with the backdrop of idyllic pastoral views.

While our helpful host is always on site, we encourage all guests to treat the estate as their private home.

A menu of Kingsford experiences – including our famous bush bath – and Barossa touring options are provided upon request.

The whole property can also be booked for exclusive use – including for weddings, special celebrations and corporate events.
